Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 -- The opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday alleged that a large number of eligible voters had been excluded from the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Odisha and questioned the transparency of the entire exercise.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, BJD senior general secretary Bhrugu Baxipatra and general secretary Bijay Nayak alleged that the SIR process had been made unnecessarily complicated, making it difficult for eligible voters to complete the required formalities and retain their names on the electoral roll.
