Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- The Biju Janata Dal on Wednesday accused the BJP government in Odisha of attempting to take credit for the JSW Steel project at Paradip, claiming that the foundation for the project had already been laid during the previous BJD regime.
Speaking at a press conference held at Shankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar, BJD spokesperson and media coordinator Lenin Mohanty said the agreement for establishment of the JSW Steel plant at Dhinkia and Nuagaon under Paradip had been signed during the "Make in Odisha" conclave under the leadership of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
