Patna, May 27 -- Bihar has emerged as the top-performing state in the ongoing national manuscript survey being conducted under the Gyan Bharatam Mission, completing the highest number of surveys in the country.
According to Art, Culture and Youth Minister Pramod Kumar, out of around 5,500 surveys conducted nationwide so far, Bihar alone has completed 1,000 surveys, securing the number one position in terms of survey count.
He said that Bihar's rich historical, cultural, and spiritual legacy has given it a unique identity and the manuscript survey initiative of the central government will further strengthen India's cultural and civilizational heritage.
