Patna, Aug. 13 -- Bihar will work to strengthen its fisheries value chain and emerge as one of the country's leading inland fisheries states under Vision 2030, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said on Thursday.

Reviewing the fisheries priority projects, Choudhary directed officials to prepare a clear and phased action plan to increase fish production and improve the skills, production capacity, income and revenue of fisheries cooperative societies.

The Chief Minister directed officials to make better use of available water resources and promote modern technology and scientific methods to increase fish production while ensuring sustained growth in the income of fishing families.
