Patna, June 12 -- : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday said the state would play an important role in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a "Developed India by 2047".

Speaking at a media interaction programme titled "12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare", organised by the BJP in Patna to mark 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led Central Government, Choudhary said Modi's tenure had been characterised by trust, development, good governance and public welfare.

He noted that India had become the world's fifth-largest economy and was strengthening its position on the global stage.
