Patna, April 17 -- In a push to modernise sugarcane cultivation, ease the financial burden on small and marginal farmers and for one-stop solution for farmers across the state , the Bihar government is set to establish Custom Hiring Centres (CHCs) across key sugarcane-growing districts of the state.
Sources at the Sugarcane Industries Department said on Friday that the initiative aims to transform the sector through enhanced mechanisation, reduced input costs and improved farm productivity.
