Patna, May 27 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today announced that marathon events would be organised in tribal regions of the state to promote tourism, sports and awareness about tribal heritage.
Addressing a dialogue programme with beneficiaries of the post-matric scholarship scheme under the "Tribal Pride Festival 2026" themed "Birsa Lives in New Bharat," the Chief Minister said upliftment of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes remained a top priority of the state government.
Choudhary said the marathon events in tribal areas would carry prize money of Rs 1 lakh for the winner, Rs 75,000 for the runner-up and Rs 50,000 for the third position. He said the initiative was aimed at encouraging youth participation while boosting ...
