Patna, March 19 -- In a major push towards environmental conservation, the Bihar government has decided to develop a green corridor along the Patna-Gaya-Dobhi National Highway.
Speaking about the ambitious project, official sources said on Thursday that the project aims to transform the highway stretch into an eco-friendly zone with large-scale plantation along both sides. The plan was reviewed by environment, forest and climate change Minister Pramod Kumar during a meeting with senior officials.
The sources said that under the project, around 21,500 saplings will be planted over a 65-km stretch in the Gaya forest division between the financial years 2026-27 and 2028-29. The plantation will mainly include fruit-bearing trees such as mango...
