Patna, Oct. 16 -- Authorities across Bihar have intensified security arrangements for Durga Puja and Dussehra, deploying magistrates and police personnel at sensitive locations, strengthening crowd and traffic management, and directing officials to take strict action against rumour-mongering and anti-social elements.
In Patna, District Magistrate Kundan Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K Sharma on Friday jointly briefed magistrates and police officers deployed at Gandhi Maidan, where the Ravan Dahan ( burning of Ravana effigy) programme is scheduled to be held on October 20.
