Patna, Nov. 20 -- Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)) chief Nitish Kumar on Thursday took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for a record 10th time, in a grand ceremony at Patna's historic Gandhi Maidan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several prominent leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) attended the event.
Gandhi Maidan, which has previously hosted Nitish Kumar's oath ceremonies in 2005, 2010, and 2015, is also historically significant as the site where Jayaprakash Narayan called for a "total revolution" in 1974.
