New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- The Election Commission of India has significantly ramped up its enforcement drive to guarantee a free and fair electoral process in Bihar.
These intensified efforts have already led to the seizure of illicit inducements, including cash, liquor, drugs, and freebies, totaling over Rs 108 crore as of November 3.
To swiftly tackle electoral malpractice, the ECI has deployed 824 Flying Squads across the state. These teams are mandated to address complaints reported via the C-VIGIL app within a strict 100-minute timeframe.
In a press note, the ECI highlighted its multi-pronged approach to citizen engagement. "Citizens/political parties can report MCC violations using the C-Vigil App on ECINET," the ECI stated.
