Patna, April 22 -- Bihar is set to roll out an 'injection well' project on a pilot basis to address the falling groundwater levels across the state. The initiative, headed by the Minor Water Resources Department, is aimed at ensuring long-term water security through scientific recharge of aquifers, said department officials.
The project envisages direct injection of water into deep underground aquifers using advanced techniques, helping to replenish depleted groundwater reserves. The move is expected to significantly strengthen the state's water sustainability efforts.
