Patna, June 28 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) National Executive Chairman Tejaswi Yadav today alleged that Bihar was on the verge of bankruptcy due to financial mismanagement, rampant corruption, deteriorating law and order and NDA government''s short-sighted policies.

While talking to news persons here, Yadav claimed that the state''s financial condition had worsened under the NDA government due to rising fiscal deficits, increasing debt, declining revenue, mounting interest liabilities and large-scale corruption. He alleged that the state treasury was under severe strain, affecting salary payments, scholarships, pensions and welfare benefits for farmers.
