Patna, June 26 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha Friday said the state government is taking scientific measures to minimise the impact of a possible El Nino and that the ''Khet Bachao Abhiyan'' (Save the Fields Campaign) is spreading awareness across villages.

Addressing a review meeting of state agriculture officials through video conferencing convened by the union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers'' Welfare, Sinha said the Bihar government was fully committed to protecting farmers'' interests and reducing the impact of natural disasters on agriculture.
