Patna, June 5 -- : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today launched a one-lakh-tree plantation campaign under the JP Ganga Path Integrated Garden Project and appealed to people to plant at least one tree in the name of their mother, saying environmental protection is a collective responsibility and essential for securing the future.
Marking World Environment Day, the Chief Minister planted a sapling and flagged off awareness vehicles of the state's Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, which will travel across Bihar to promote environmental conservation and encourage large-scale plantation drives.
