Patna, Aug. 18 -- The Bihar government on Tuesday transferred Siwan Superintendent of Police Puran Kumar Jha and issued the notification for the fourth phase of the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4), effectively taking the sting out of two key demands at the centre of the RJD's proposed Raj Bhavan march on Wednesday.

The RJD has announced the march to Raj Bhavan demanding action against police officials accused of ordering firing on student protesters in Siwan and seeking justice for teacher aspirants. The party has also announced its solidarity with students protesting over the teacher recruitment examination.
