Patna, May 12 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today said the state government has taken an important initiative to ensure transparency and accountability in private schools and to protect the interests of students and parents.

Choudhary said in a message shared on social media platform X that the government would act to curb arbitrariness in private schools and regulate school fees across the state.

"The private schools will be required to publicly disclose complete details of fees. Arbitrary fee hikes and unnecessary charges will be stopped," he said.
