Patna, June 27 -- :l Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain today called for ensuring proper fire safety systems in every hospital, nursing home and coaching institute across the state within the next six months.
Addressing a state-level seminar on "Fire Safety Preparedness" organised at Bihar Lok Bhawan in Patna with the support of the Bihar State Disaster Management Authority (BSDMA), the Governor also launched the "Fire Safety Declaration."Referring to recent fire tragedies in hospitals in Delhi and Muzaffarpur and a coaching institute in Lucknow, Hasnain said fire safety is directly linked to the protection of human life and cannot be treated as a mere licensing formality.
