Patna, Aug. 28 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Friday tied a rakhi to a tree at Rajdhani Vatika-1 here on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and 'Vriksh Suraksha Diwas', underlining the importance of protecting the environment.
The Chief Minister also planted a Nagalingam sapling at Rajdhani Vatika-1 as part of the state-level programme organised by the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department.
The programme, held on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, aims to spread awareness among people about environmental protection, encourage the conservation of trees and plants, and promote large-scale plantation.
