Patna, June 4 -- : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today directed officials to accord top priority to the strengthening, widening, and expansion of rural roads, as well as the construction of new road and bridge projects, to ensure better connectivity and transportation facilities in rural areas across the state.
Chairing a high-level review meeting of the Rural Works Department, the Chief Minister instructed officials to regularly monitor existing rural roads and undertake strengthening work wherever required. He emphasised the need for an effective road maintenance system and said that repairs to damaged roads should not be unnecessarily delayed.
