Patna, Sept. 19 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday announced that he would donate his one month's salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support families affected by the severe floods in the state.

In a post on social media platform X, Choudhary said he is contributing his salary to the relief fund to assist flood-affected families and appealed for collective efforts to help those in distress.

Bihar is facing a severe flood situation, with rising water levels in the Ganga and several other major rivers affecting a large population. According to the state government, around 50 lakh people in 15 districts have been affected.
