Patna, Aug. 28 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday announced that noted poet and lyricist Satyanarayan, who composed the state song 'Bihar Geet', would be accorded a state funerl.
Expressing deep grief over the demise of Kavi Shiromani Satyanarayan, former vice-president of the Bihar Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Choudhary said the mortal remains of the noted poet would be consigned to flames with full state honours.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described the death of the "immortal creator of Bihar Geet" as deeply saddening and an irreparable loss to the literary and cultural world of Bihar.
