Muzaffarpur, June 4 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Thursday expressed deep grief over the death of four people in a fire that broke out in the ICU of a private hospital in Muzaffarpur and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased.
Expressing his condolences to the bereaved families, the Chief Minister said instructions have been issued to provide the ex-gratia assistance without delay. He said the local administration is fully alert and adequate arrangements have been made in government hospitals for the treatment of the injured.
Praying for peace to the departed souls, Choudhary said he hopes the bereaved families find strength to overcome this difficult time.
