Patna, Sept. 23 -- The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) officially cancelled the main written examination for the recruitment of 1,799 Police Sub-Inspector (Daroga) posts on Wednesday, following widespread protests and allegations of irregularities.
The official notification cited "unavoidable reasons" to protect exam integrity and candidate interests, following complaints, student agitations, and FIRs registered in Gaya and Purnea.
The examination was conducted in two shifts on May 27.
Announcing the cancellation, the Commission said the new examination date would be notified separately. It advised candidates to follow its official website for further updates.
