Patna, Sept. 15 -- The Bihar Cabinet Tuesday approved the creation of two additional posts of State Information Commissioners until further orders.
Additional Cabinet Chief Secretary Arvind Choudhary told news persons here that the cabinet has sanctioned to create two additional posts of State Information Commissioners.
He said the Commission presently has three members including the Chief Information Commissioner and two Information Commissioners.
The Commission, a statutory body was established in accordance with Section 15 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 in June 2006. The main objective of the commission is to fulfill the mandate assigned in the Right to Information Act, 2005.
