Patna, Sept. 2 -- The Bihar Cabinet on Wednesday extended of the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme for five years from financial year 2026-27 to 2030-31.
While giving its green signal for extension of the scheme, the cabinet which held its meeting chaired by the chief minister Samrat Choudhary, accorded ex-post facto approval for continuing the existing arrangement under which students can avail education loans of up to Rs 4 lakh through the Bihar State Education Finance Corporation.
The Cabinet also approved transfer of 700 acres of gairmazarua khas land in Malhipur under Barauni circle of Begusarai district to the Industries Department, free of cost and on a permanent inter-departmental basis, for establishment of an industrial area.
