Patna, June 17 -- : The Bihar Cabinet today approved an estimated expenditure of Rs 622.04 crore for the installation and implementation of an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) across the state.

The cabinet met this evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and sanctioned the installation of ITMS across the state under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The project aims to strengthen road safety, traffic management, electronic enforcement and accident control mechanisms.

The cabinet approved 29 proposals covering infrastructure, tourism, urban development, mining, judicial administration, public services and welfare measures.
