Patna, May 12 -- Bihar Director General of Police Vinay Kumar today said that prompt action, sensitive handling of cases and stronger inter-departmental coordination were crucial for timely justice and support for survivors of gender-based violence.
Addressing a one-day state-level workshop focusing on prevention of gender-based violence, effective implementation of legal provisions and strengthening of sensitive institutional mechanisms jointly organised by the Women and Child Development Corporation (WCDC), Bihar and CID (Weaker Section), Bihar Police, the DGP said here that strong and sensitive mechanisms required to address gender-based violence.
