Patna, Sept. 5 -- More than 10.26 lakh people have been affected by floods across 11 districts of Bihar as several major rivers continue to flow above danger levels, prompting authorities to intensify relief, rescue and evacuation operations.
According to the information received from the Water Resources Department and Disaster Management Department, the flood waters have spread across 201 panchayats of 50 blocks in 11 districts.
The affected districts include Patna, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Buxar, Samastipur, Munger, Katihar and Arwal.
