Patna, April 11 -- The Patna Municipal Corporation has started the online self-assessment process for property tax for the financial year 2026-27.
Official sources said here today that under this system, residents can assess their property tax online through the corporation's portal or submit forms by visiting municipal offices. The civic body is also offering a 5 per cent discount to those who make a lump-sum payment within the first quarter, that is before June 30.
According to rules, it is mandatory for all property owners to assess their tax and pay it on time without waiting for any notice. Those who purchase a new property must complete self-assessment within 30 days, failing which a penalty of Rs 2,000 for residential and Rs 5,000 ...
