Patna, Aug. 15 -- Bihar Governor Lieutenant General Syed Ata Hasnain (retd) hoisted the national flag at Bihar Lok Bhavan on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day today and took the salute of the parade.
On the occasion, the Governor paid tribute to the freedom fighters and national heroes who made supreme sacrifices for the country''s independence.
Meanwhile, JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha hoisted the Tricolour at the party''s state headquarters and saluted the national flag. He paid homage to the immortal freedom fighters and national heroes, saying that Independence Day reminds citizens of the sacrifice, dedication and struggle of the great sons of the country who laid down their lives for India''s freedom.
