Patna, May 13 -- The Bihar Pradesh Congress Disciplinary Committee has expelled former state president of the National Students' union of India (NSUI), Rashid Fakhri, from the primary membership of the party for six years on alleged charges of indiscipline and anti-party activities.
The decision was announced by committee chairman Kapil Dev Prasad Yadav, who said the action was taken after serious allegations of misconduct were found against Fakhri.
According to the order issued by the committee, the incident dates back to January 6, this year during a programme at the Madhubani District Congress office, where Fakhri and his supporters allegedly misbehaved with senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan.
