Jehanabad, June 30 -- In a tragic road accident a man and his 10-year-old son were killed in a road accident on Tuesday while on their way to seek medical treatment for the child, who was battling cancer.
According to police, the accident took place near Birra turning on National Highway-22 under the Makhdumpur police station area when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit the bicycle both were travelling by.
Police identified the deceased as Ramvinod Paswan, a resident of Akauna village and his 10-year-old son, Monu Kumar.
According to police, Ramvinod was taking his son, a cancer patient to the Mahavir Cancer Institute in Patna. They were heading to Makhdumpur railway station when the accident took place.
