Patna, May 2 -- A special court here today directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to complete the investigation into the suspicious death of a NEET aspirant within two months.
The Special Judge Rajiv Ranjan Raman also ordered the CBI to record the statement of the deceased girl's mother before a competent magistrate within three days. Additionally, the judge directed that an interim compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh be provided to the victim's family through the Patna District Legal Services Authority.
The order was passed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act), following hearings on petitions filed by the informant and the victim's family, along with a progress report submitted by the CBI.
