Patna, June 14 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today directed officials to expedite the plantation drive along the JP Ganga Path and achieve the target of planting one lakh saplings at the earliest.

Chairing a high-level review meeting of the Water Resources Department at Sankalp Sabhagar here, the Chief Minister reviewed proposals related to the optimal use of departmental assets, development of the Ganga riverfront, modernization of irrigation department inspection houses, and promotion of tourism and heritage sites across the state. He emphasised the need to restore the ancient glory and historical identity of Pataliputra.
