Lucknow, Sept. 22 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the biennial elections to 10 Rajya Sabha seats from Uttar Pradesh, with polling scheduled for October 16.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said on Tuesday that the terms of the members representing the 10 Rajya Sabha seats are set to expire on November 25, 2026.
As per the schedule announced by the Commission, the notification for the elections will be issued on September 29. The last date for filing nominations is October 6, while scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on October 7. Candidates may withdraw their nominations until October 9.
