Bengaluru, Aug. 9 -- The Karnataka government has constituted a high-level committee headed by retired judge Guhanathan Narendar to examine the proposed Bidadi Greater Bengaluru Integrated Township project amid growing opposition from farmers and villagers facing the prospect of land acquisition.
The committee will examine various aspects of the ambitious township proposal and submit its recommendations to the state government, officials said.
The panel includes retired Chief Secretary SV Ranganath, retired Additional Chief Secretary R Umashankar and retired IAS officer Prasanna Kumar, among others.
