Thimphu/New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- The Punatsangchhu-II Hydroelectric Project (HEP), a 1,020 MW run-of-the-river project in western Bhutan, developed as a joint venture between the Governments of India and Bhutan, achieved successful completion, with the synchronization of the last and final unit [Unit 6 (170 MW)] with the power grid.

A ceremony was held at the project's powerhouse to mark the occasion.
