Bhupender Gupta assumes charge as CMD of NHPC

Shimla, Sept. 5 -- Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN, today assumed additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC Limited, a Schedule 'A' Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE).

Gupta, an industry veteran with over 34 years of professional experience, brings with him rich expertise in planning, design, execution, contract management and operation of large hydroelectric and transmission projects.

Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Director (Technical) at THDC India Ltd. and also held the additional charge of CMD, SJVN.
