Bhubaneswar, April 22 -- The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday allotted houses to 138 families through a lottery system under an affordable housing project.
The beneficiaries, belonging to Ekamra Villa, Maa Bhagabati Basti, Saliasahi, Bhoi Nagar and Saraswati Basti, were provided houses at the Buddha Vihar Affordable Housing Project in Patia.
Mayor Sulochana Das attended the event as the chief guest. Among others present were Deputy Mayor Manjulata Kanhar, BMC Commissioner and BDA Vice-Chairman Chanchal Rana, Standing Committee Chairperson (Slum Settlement) Mahamaya Swain, Additional Commissioner Ratnakar Sahu, Housing Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mohanty, corporators and other senior officials.
