Bhubaneswar, July 18 -- The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has intensified its dengue prevention drive across the city through large-scale awareness campaigns, anti-larval operations and source reduction measures, helping keep dengue cases low this year.
Following the directions of Commissioner Chanchal Rana, special teams have been deployed across all three zones to conduct door-to-door surveys in every ward, street, sahi and basti to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.
Since July 1, BMC teams have covered 40,639 households and reached 1,27,517 residents with dengue awareness messages. Mosquito breeding was detected in 3,554 households, while 2,968 breeding sources and 34,283 water-holding containers were eliminated....
