Lucknow, July 15 -- A Kathak student winning seven gold medals, women accounting for a significant share of the top honours and celebrations of excellence in music and performing arts marked the 16th Convocation of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya in Lucknow on Wednesday.
At the ceremony held at Kalamandapam Auditorium in Kaisarbagh, the university conferred 255 medals and honoured 23 outstanding students from the 2025-26 academic session for excellence across music, dance and performing arts.
The biggest applause of the day was reserved for M.P.A. (Kathak) student Shweta Gupta, who emerged as the top performer by winning seven gold medals.
