Puducherry, April 3 -- Former legislator Bhaskar was today appointed as Puducherry State Vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Bhaskar contested the 2011 and 2016 assembly elections in an AIADMK ticket and won.
He had contested the poll from the same Mudaliarpet constituency for the third time in AIADMK ticket in 2021, but had lost it.
Bhaskar, who is also the brother of AIADMK State Secretary A Anbazhagan, had recently quit the AIADMK and joined the BJP.
