Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 14 -- The Bharatiya Vichara Kendra State Committee has alleged that the upcoming Ayyappa Sangamam at Pampa is being organised to serve commercial interests rather than temple development.

In a resolution passed at its State Committee meeting, the organisation said that although the event has been announced in connection with the 75th anniversary of the Travancore Devaswom Board, "it is evident that the government, and not the Board, is taking the initiative."
