Chandigarh, Aug. 27 -- The water level at Bhakra Dam's Gobind Sagar Lake stood at 1,671.49 feet today, approximately 8 feet below the danger mark of 1,680 feet, according to the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
The dam's floodgates remain open at about 2 feet to manage water flow. The inflow into the Bhakra Dam was recorded at 58,997 cusecs, while 43,653 cusecs of water is being released through the dam's turbines.
