New Delhi/Chandigarh, June 16 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday denied any connection to a viral video attributed to him and alleged that a campaign to defame him was being carried out for political reasons.
In a video message, Mann said the person seen in the video was not him and claimed he had already conveyed this to the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib when he was summoned over the matter.
He maintained that neither the appearance nor the physique of the individual shown in the clip matched his own.
Mann alleged that the campaign against him had been orchestrated at the behest of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal and accused certain functionaries of spreading what he described as false propaganda.
