Bengaluru, March 17 -- In a dramatic turnaround, Bengaluru has moved from uncertainty to emerging as a potential finale hub for the Indian Premier League after securing last-minute government clearance.
The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) confirmed that it has received formal approval to host IPL matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
KSCA official Vinay Mrutunjaya said the approval followed a high-level meeting with Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara and an expert committee, where Vice President Sujit Som Sundar represented the association.
He said all five matches of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be held in Bengaluru as scheduled, while the playoffs and final are also likely to be staged at the venue.
