Bengaluru, July 24 -- A new needle-based, minimally invasive treatment for benign thyroid nodules could make advanced thyroid care more affordable and accessible for selected patients, doctors at Bengaluru's Gleneagles BGS Hospital said on Friday after successfully performing what they described as a first-of-its-kind procedure combining Direct Puncture Embolisation (DPE) and Microwave Ablation (MWA) in a single sitting.
