Hubballi, June 30 -- Bengaluru Blasters tightened their grip on the top spot in the DACSS Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 standings with an eight-run victory over nearest challengers Coastal Kings Mangaluru via the VJD method in a rain-hit contest here on Monday.
Persistent rain interrupted play several times, forcing the chase to be revised from 180 in 20 overs to 109 in 11 overs. When play was halted for the final time, Bengaluru were cruising at 68 without loss in seven overs, comfortably ahead of the VJD par score of 60 to seal their fifth win in six matches.
