Kolkata, July 10 -- A woman from West Bengal's South 24-Parganas district has lodged a police complaint against Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee and 10 others alleging that negligent treatment at a "Sebashray" medical camp supported by them, led to the amputation of one of her legs.

The complainant, Malati Biswas, a resident of Akra in South 24-Parganas, submitted a written complaint to the Rabindranagar police station, alleging that she suffered permanent disability after receiving treatment at the medical camp. There has been no formal response from Banerjee or the organisers of the "Sebashray" initiative regarding the allegations.
